2010 NYSAA Indoor Championships

Please note that there was a typo on the application.  The shooting lines for March 7th, in the Western Region are 9:00 am and 12:30 pm.  They were inadvertently listed as 10:00am and 1:00pm.  Archers registering for the March 7th line, in the Western Region will be contacted either directly if possible or through their club leader if that is how the registration was received.

At the 48th FITA Congress Meeting on August 30 & 31, 2009 in Ulsan, Korea, FITA Congress elected to change the maximum age of Junior to the year of archers 20th birthday and maximum age of Cadet to the year of an archers 17th birthday.

USA Archery adopted these changes at their November 6 & 7, 2009 Board of Director's Meeting.

These changes became effective on January 1, 2010 and will now align
USA Archery's JOAD Program with FITA.

These changes were not known at the time of the printing for the NYSAA Indoor Applications, however, per the NYSAA Constitution and By-laws we will recognize these changes at the tournament.

Archers effected by these changes may note it on the application or correct it when they arrive at the tournament site.  Each site will make an announcement indicating this change prior to each line to allow individuals who are unaware of this change an opportunity to take advantage of it.

Special thanks to Bob and Eillen Pfeil for catching this change prior to the start of the tournament, allowing us the opportunity to stay in line with the new rule changes.
